![]() PRINTS BY NORTHWEST ARTISTSFebruary 3 – March 12, 2011 See the Slideshow CURATOR'S STATEMENT Prints by Northwest Artists is an extensive exhibition of some 140 prints by 55 artists from Oregon, Washington, and Montana, and is currently displayed at the SRJC Art Gallery, located in the Frank P. Doyle Library on the Santa Rosa campus, through Saturday, March 12, 2011. This rich and varied survey integrates works chosen for both technical expertise and a breadth of imagery drawn specifically from Northwest life. There are engravings, etchings, woodcuts, lithographs, and silkscreen impressions based on the great rugged outdoors, concentrated urban living, complex human relationships, and finally plant life and animal forms. The selected prints are from Ren Brown Gallery (Bodega Bay) and the Annex Galleries (Santa Rosa), as well as larger bodies of work on loan from Augen Gallery in Portland, Oregon and Davidson Galleries in Seattle, Washington. All of the chosen and accomplished artists have dedicated regional followings and, in some cases, are known nationally for their fine prints.
