STATE LICENSING EXAM PASSAGE RATES: Some SRJC programs that involve
state licensing exams have public websites indicating passage rates of these exams,
school by school. Some programs have passage rates, but these are not published on
public websites, so we provide you that information ourselves here.
Associate Degree Nursing program, NCLEX

Dental Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and
testing information is available at

Dental Hygiene program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and testing information
is available at www.ada.org/101.aspx. Passage
rates are not publicly available, but SRJC student passage rates have been 100% from
2010 to 2014 on the Dental Hygiene National Board exam.
Dietetic Technician program is
accredited by CADE: Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education and information
is available at http://www.eatright.org/CADE.
Students are tested by Pearson Vue which administers the registration exam for the credentialing
agency CDR: Commission on Dietetic Registration and information is available at http://www.cdrnet.org/.
Passage rate for the Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) exam for SRJC Students from 2010 to 2014 is 92.3%.
Emergency Medical Technician: for EMC 103, 2013 Overall passage rate on the NREMT 1st attempt was 85.3%, with 89.4% passing within three attempts; for Spring 2014, 1st attempt pass rate was 78.5% and 91.7% passing within three attempts.

Both the State Fire Marshal and the California Specialized Training Institute administer
exams. Fall 2010 SRJC student passage rate was 100% for Fire 200A, Fire 200B, Fire
202A, Fire 202B and Fire 203; Fire 73 passage rate was 99% and Fire 77 passage rate
was 98%. Fall 2011 SRJC student passage rate was 100% for Fire 200A, Fire 200B, Fire
202A, Fire 202B and Fire 203: Fall 2011 Fire 73 passage rate was 100% and Fire 77
passage rate was 95%; Spring 2012 Fire 73 passage rate was 100% and Fire 77 passage
rate was 100%.
Fire Technology program
delivers instruction that is consistent with the Fire and Emergency Service Higher Education (FESHE) model and for degree and certificate programs and with the State Fire Marshal's Office for the Firefighter 1 Academy and "In-Service" classes. . During the 2013-14 academic year, pass rates were 100% for Fire 107A, 107B, 200.1, 200.2,200.3, 201, 203,204A, 204B, 204C, 209, 241 and 258; Fire 71 86%, Fire 72 90%, Fire 73 94%, Fire 74 92%, Fire 76 95%, Fire 77 92%, Fire 78 95%, Fire 206 84%, Fire 208 88%, Fire 208.1 90%.

Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide program

SRJC student passage rates were
93% for Skills and 100% for Written in 2012, 85% for Skills and 100% for Written in 2013.
program pass rates for some schools are normally available to the public at the California EMS Authority website (
http://www.emsa.ca.gov/Media/Default/PDF/NREMT Paramedic Results-2013 Final2.pdt
). However, our local EMS agency does not report scores for programs under their jurisdiction. In 2012, 95% of students passed the NREMT national board exam on the first attempt, and all remaining students passed on the second attempt. In 2013 and 2014, 100% of SRJC students passed on the first attempt.
Technician program: the Pharmacy Technician Certificate Board Exam is preferred
by some California employers but is not required for licensure by the state of California.
Students who complete the SRJC Pharmacy Technician program may apply directly to
the State for licensure. SRJC Students' passage rates have been 100% from 2010 to 2014.
Phlebotomy program: Students must
take the National Phlebotomy Certification examination. California does not yet have

SRJC students taking this exam passed at a 93% rate in 2009, 100% in 2010 and 100%
Psychiatric Technician program:
SRJC stopped offering this program Fall 2008.
program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the California Department of Public Health, Radiation Health Branch (CDPH-RHB). Passage rates for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) examination for SRJC students has been 100% in 2010, 2011 and 2012, 95% in 2013 and 100% in 2014.
