Welcome to New Student Programs
We attempt to make education more accessible
to you. Our services include
orientations, academic counseling, free workshops and seminars, as well as
college and community referrals and resource information.
Orientation
Attend an orientation before you
meet with a counselor. Orientation provides
you with vital information about admission and
registration, financial aid and scholarships, career exploration, and English and
math assessment. You will be introduced to information on earning an A.A. degree,
the transfer process or completion of a career certificate. Orientation introduces
you to information necessary for successful completion of your educational
goals.
August 20, 2012 through
September 28, 2012 orientations will be held weekly as follows:
Wednesday
5:30-7:00 PM
Bertolini Student Center
2nd Floor, Room 4731
Friday
9:00-10:30 AM
Bertolini Student Center
2nd Floor, Room 4731
It is recommended to sign up in advance at the Counseling
Department (Bertolini Student Center, 2nd floor) or by calling (707) 527-4451.
Academic, Career, and Personal Counseling
It is important to stay in touch with a counselor while pursuing
your educational goal. By doing so, you can be assured of a less stressful entry
process and a more successful completion of your educational goals.
Counseling is available in Bertolini Student Center on the Santa
Rosa Campus and Kathleen Doyle Hall on the Petaluma Campus. Our counselors
provide semester-by-semester assistance in your class selection and help with career
clarification.
