Establish an Office of Institutional Research.

The institutional research function was established to develop performance measures in response to system accountability mandates. Additionally, Institutional Research will support educational, student services and general institutional planning as the college better assesses programmatic and community needs, demographics, etc.

Acquisition of Upgraded MIS Software.

In order to appropriately report Management Information System data in response to system accountability mandates, it was necessary to make a one-time expenditure of $35,000 to develop and install more graphical interface to better portray and represent performance measure information.

Acquisition of Upgraded College-wide Email System

An expanded and improved email system will enhance student-faculty access and allow for the transport of full text material (term papers, faculty research) to be electronically transmitted between student and faculty. Email access supports both traditional and non-traditional (distance learning) programs.

Acquisition of Upgraded College-wide Voice Mail System

In order to provide more student-faculty accessibility, it is imperative to install improved voice mail capability which will permit increased numbers of faculty users (both full & part-time) thus allowing greater student access. The combination of improved voice mail and email systems allows the college to provide expanded distance learning opportunities and support for non-traditional off-campus students.
