On March 14 2014, the AFA Executive Council unanimously approved a resolution calling upon the District to re-form the current Trustee Area 345 into three distinct Trustee Areas, and to do so in "a manner that reflects a spirit of democracy and supports the diversity of the District."
The redistricting proposal is also supported by the Associated Students, SEIU, Sonoma County League of Women Voters, Sonoma County Democratic Party, MEChA de SRJC, North Bay Organizing Project, SRJC Black Student Union/ NAACP, Conservation Action, Latin@ Faculty-Staff Association, and Santa Rosa American Association of University Women.
The Board will determine whether this redistricting occurs in time for the 2016 elections. Their contact information is below.
