Operational Goals for 2006-2007

1.0 Program Review: Coordinate and implement the conceptual framework and process for a revamped Program Review project. Define common data elements, narrative and student learning outcomes that will be incorporated in each department's submittal. Completion Date: Spring 2007

2.0 Finalize Student Services Facility Planning: Develop an action plan in coordination with the District Master Facility Plan thata completes design aspects of a student center complex utilizing converted Plover Library and a new Student Center. Completion Date: 2009-10

3.0 Retention Initiative: Explore, recommend and initiate expanded retention efforts that focus on new students and students at risk of leaving SRJC before completing their educational goal. Completion Date: April 2007

4.0 Community Outreach Initiative: Strengthen student outreach and recruitment through coordinated activities in the community at large. Completion Date: 2006-2007

5.0 Latino Student Outreach Coordination: Emphasize district coordination of outreach directed toward Latino students and families. Completion Date: June 2007

6.0 Student Health Education: Increase institutional awareness and learning about the impact of alcohol and other drug abuse on student learning and academic success by developing an appropriate and coordinated institutional reponse. Completion Date: June 2007

7.0 Staff Training: Collaborate with staff develoment office in conducting training opportunities that enhance communication among classified, counseling, managers and student staff. Completion Date: January 2008

8.0 Enrollment Management Initiative: Refine the district-wide enrollment management strategy through research, collaborative planning and evaluation. Completion Date: 2006-2008

9.0 Student Grievance Mediation: Implement grievance mediation through Student Affairs and revise the grievance/complaint process for students. Completion Date: June 30, 2007
