Institutional Goals for 2004/05 to 2005/06
The Institutional Planning Council (IPC) is recommending six institutional goals for the 2004/05 to 2005/06 academic years. IPC has committed to monitoring goal achievement and reporting back to the college community on progress towards meeting the goals. In addition, IPC recommends that a new value statement be added to our mission statement.
Goal #1 Fiscal Responsibililty
The college will document clear processes and procedures for linking and tracking budget to planning.
Goal #2 Student Learning Outcomes
The college will develop a comprehensive program of student learning outcomes assessment, the data and analysis from which will drive a cycle of continuous improvement based on a culture of evidence.
Goal #3 Environmentally Sound Policies and Practices
The college will promote environmentally sound policies and practices in the planning, develoment and maintenance of our facilities and campuses.
Goal #4 Institutional Advocacy
The college will advocate for institutional interests and needs with decision-makers at the local, state and national levels on a regular basis.
Goal #5 Faculty and Staff Diversity
The college will commit resources to create greater employee diversity (cultural, ethnic, gender, age).
Goal #6 Multi-campus Organization
The college will further develop multi-campus organizational structures and operational procedures that clarify district-wide relationships and practices and promote equity and consistency for students, faculty and staff.
