This topic is for users who know their previous login password and want to update their Keychain password with the new login password.

  1. In Finder, go to Applications/Utilities
  2. Launch Keychain Access
  3. Click on the Edit Menu, and then "Change Password for Keychain "Login" ..."
  4. The "Current Password" is actually your previous login password. And the "New Password" is your current login password.
  5. Click OK when done. You can then close Keychain Access.
