As you may be aware, the SRJC fax system has been unreliable since the Holiday Break when the IT department upgraded our phone system to a more modern IP-based system. Although we have implemented an analog/digital conversion gateway solution, an unsatisfactorily high percentage of transmissions were still failing.
This post is to inform our community that we have successfully completed a trial of a server-based fax transmission solution, which integrates well with our IP-based phone system and fits into the District’s Green Initiative. We will be contacting various departments to discuss their workflows in order to deploy the new solution to their specific needs.
