Routine IT Systems Maintenance - Wed. May 29th

SRJC Community,

The Information Technology department will be performing routine systems maintenance on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 starting at 7pm. Throughout the evening there will be brief interruptions, typically lasting no more than 5-10 minutes. The following services may be affected. Voicemail System maintenance: Friday, October 26 from 6:00AM to 7:00AM

SRJC Community,

The Information Technology department will be performing a routine Voicemail System (not the phone system) maintenance on:

Friday, October 26, 2012 from 6:00AM to 7:00AM

During the operation, phone users will be unable to reach voicemail boxes. Please note that all phones will still operate properly. This work involves the use of an utility program that checks the software’s data structure, cleans up data corruptions, and fixes reference errors.

Distance Education web server going off-line for maintenance

Student, faculty, staff, and administrators:

The Distance Education web server -- online.santarosa.edu, sometimes referred to as CATE -- will be off-line for important maintenance and upgrade work all day on Monday, 13 August 2012.

That means CATE, Moodle, and all other resources and files hosted on the server will be entirely inaccessible until that work is completed.

All users -- students, faculty, staff, and administrators -- should expect the server to be completely unavailable for the entire day, and should plan accordingly.

Early morning (After midnight) web services testing

SRJC Community:

The Information Technology department will be performing load and stress tests on the SRJC main site and the SIS servers Friday thru Sunday in early morning hours (after midnight). While we are not anticipating any disruption in services, our web users may experience slow response time with our web servers. These tests are part of our continual effort to provide a smooth Online Student Registration experience to our students. Systems Update: brief 5-minute interruption in web services today, between 2 PM and 5 PM

SRJC Community,

The Information Technology department will be performing a critical system update on the SRJC web services today Tuesday, July 10th between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM. This unplanned update will cause our main web site to go down sometime between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM for 5 minutes during the server reboot. In addition, employees that are updating the web site will be disconnected during the update. Please be advised that additional systems may also be impacted due to some interdependencies.

This update is part of our effort to provide a smoother Online Student Registration experience.
