IT Workshops at PDA Day - February 16

IT will be presenting two workshops at the upcoming PDA day on February 16th:

SharePoint: What's Coming Next - Session II, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM, Santa Rosa Doyle 4246 & Petaluma Call 640

We will go over what SharePoint is, how SRJC currently uses it and what we are planning on using it for in the future.

 

Dealing with Spam - Session III, 2:45 PM - 4:15 PM, Santa Rosa Doyle 4246 & Petaluma Call 640

Learn how you can detect and control spam and phishing attacks, and how you can use systems like SpamAssassin and Outlook rules to take control over your email.

SRJC district computer maintenance scheduled for Feb. 17th from 8 am - 2 pm

On Friday, February 17th from approximately 8:00 am until 2:00 pm, all SRJC portal features and SIS will be inaccessible due to scheduled maintenance on our district computers. Please note that February 17th is a scheduled holiday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Systems Maintenance (I.T.) - Thurs night 2/2/2012

The Information Technology department will be performing routine systems maintenance on Thursday, February 2nd starting at 6pm. Throughout the evening there will be brief interruptions, typically lasting no more than 5-10 minutes.  See the following list for specific systems that will be briefly interrupted.  Due to some of the complex interdependencies of the systems that serve our college, please note that additional systems may also be impacted that are not included in the listing below.

Problem with Sharepoint Services

The IT Department is aware that there is a problem with the Sharepoint Server.  We are working on a resolution and will update this entry once we have an estimated time of repair, or when services are restored.  Thank you for your patience.

Welcome to Spring 2012 from Information Technology

Welcome back! We hope everyone had a wonderful winter break! As we begin the Spring 2012 semester we would like to remind everyone of a few things which will allow us to serve you more efficiently. Call extension 1765 for all IT related issues or submit an online ticket request for non-urgent requests.

Information Technology has laptops and iPads that can be checked out by SRJC employees on a temporary basis. IT offers the equipment for SRJC business use, presentations, meeting note taking, and other uses. View our equipment checkout page for more information.

Student and Faculty Portal is down (updated)

The Student and Faculty Portal is currently offline. IT is aware of the issue and is in the process of resolving it. We will provide an update when the portal is back online or when we have an ETA.

UPDATE 9:00 AM - The Portal is back up and functioning normally.

 

IT Closed for Winter Break

A quick reminder to all SRJC employees, IT will be closed during the winter break and we will return January 4th. During this time, we will not be answering the Help Desk or returning calls. If you have an IT related emergency, please call the Help Desk at (707) 524-1765 for current emergency contact information. Have a safe and wonderful winter break!

ITG Bond Computer Request Approval List

SRJC Community,

The Institutional Technology Group (ITG) has finished prioritizing requests for the next bond measure A fund computer purchase. Follow the link below to see the status of these requests. Since approved computers will still need to be ordered, processed, inventoried, and imaged, it will still be up to several months before the computers will be available for installation.
