Meet with a Counselor
Seeing a counselor is probably the most important
thing you can do - especially as a new student. Our counselors can help
you find the right level of classes. Counselors will assist you in designing
an academic plan to help guide you to your educational goal. Our counselors
can also direct you to SRJC's many supportive services such as the Tutorial
Center, Financial Aid, and the Adult Reentry Office.
- SRJC's counselors are available to help you plan your college classes.
- Counselors are available on a drop-in basis in Bailey
Hall, Santa Rosa Campus and Jacobs Hall, Petaluma Campus.
Call (707) 527-4375 for a counseling appointment at Adult Reentry Services.
- Counselors are available by appointment. To schedule a half hour appointment,
call (707) 527-4451 at Santa Rosa Campus or (707) 778-3914 at Petaluma
Campus.
- If you plan to take 9 or more units, you MUST see a counselor
to develop an academic plan. Exceptions - students who have completed 42 or more
units and those who declare a BA or higher degree on their admissions application.
- If you plan to enroll in less than 9 units, it is not required that you see a counselor, however it is highly recommended that you do. The last thing you want is to have add another semester to your studies because you didn't get careful educational guidance.
